Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is a Government initiative that provides additional funding to help disadvantaged pupils perform better, and close the gap between them and their peers. Research shows that pupils from a disadvantaged background underachieve compared to their peers, along with children of families who serve in the armed forces. The premium is provided in order to support these pupils in reaching their potential. Children eligible for Pupil Premium funding are:

  • Children eligible for income based free school meals,

  • Children who have been eligible for income based FSM anytime in the previous 6 years,

  • Children of families who serve in the armed forces,

  • Children of families who have served in the armed forces anytime in the previous 4 years,

  • Children recently adopted from care,

  • Looked after children.

If you require any further information about the Pupil Premium funding or think that you might be eligible, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
