Peripatetic Music Lessons
St Peter's has a rich offer of music for pupils at the school. Pupils in Years 1 to 5 receive whole class music lessons in a range of instruments such as keyboards, percussion and ukulele from the Hampshire Music Service. Pupils in Year R are taught music through the discovery led learning curriculum, whilst Year 6 pupils have whole class singing lessons working especially on reading notation and singing in parts.
As well as this, pupils with an interest in learning specific musical instruments can receive small group tuition from external peripatetic music teachers which are paid for by families. The peripatetic music offer is as follows:
